Loaded Veggie Cheddar Burger

Ingredients

  • Vegetarian Patty (I use Beyond Meat - a plant based burger patty)
  • Red onion
  • Veganaise
  • Ketchup
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Cilantro
  • Tomato
  • Jalapeno
  • Garlic Aioli Mustard
  • Sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees
  2. Heat up your pan with garlic olive oil (or regular olive oil) & add your burger patty in the pan to cook (tip: smash down your patty to make it thinner)
  3. Slice up your tomato
  4. Cut up your red onions & jalapeno
  5. Toast 2 pieces of sourdough bread for about 30 seconds to a minute (so it is not all the way toasted) & then spread garlic aioli mustard on the toast
  6. Once your burger patty is done cooking, place it onto one slice of the semi-toasted bread
  7. Now in the hot pan, grill up your onion slices
  8. While the onions are grilling, add tomato slices, lettuce, & jalapeno to your burger
  9. Once the onions are done grilling, pile the onion to the burger along with cheddar cheese chunks
  10. Now that you have placed all the ingredients on the piece of toast, place it in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes (to toast the rest of the bread and melt the cheese)
  11. Once toasted, add on your lettuce, cilantro, and ketchup to the burger
  12. Place the other piece of toast on top and you are ready to serve!
