Pear & Arugula Bleu Burger

Ingredients

  • Burger Patty (I use Beyond Meat - a plant based burger patty)
  • White onion
  • Bleu cheese
  • Sourdough bread
  • Baby arugula
  • Pear
  • Garlic Aioli

Instructions

  1. Heat up your pan with garlic olive oil (or regular olive oil) & add your burger patty to the pan to cook (Tip: smash down your patty to make it thinner, especially if you are using the Beyond Meat patty)
  2. Toast two pieces of sourdough bread
  3. Cut up your pear into slices and grill them in the hot pan (once your burger patty is done & set to the side)
  4. Once the pear is done grilling, place those to the side as well
  5. Slice up your white onion
  6. Now on your toasted bread, spread some garlic aioli on one piece (optional: mayonnaise or your choice of sauce)
  7. Place your burger patty down on the piece of toast
  8. Next, layer your onions and pears
  9. Add a handful of arugula to the top
  10. On the other piece of bread (the “top” piece) spread your bleu cheese
  11. Cut your burger in half & you are ready to serve!
