Teriyaki Pineapple Cheddar Burger

Teriyaki Pineapple Cheddar Burger

Ingredients

  • Burger Patty (I use Beyond Meat - a plant based burger patty)
  • Red onion
  • Teriyaki sauce
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Pineapple (I prefer to use pineapple that is already sliced around the core, so in flat circular slices not chunks)
  • Lettuce
  • Sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees
  2. Heat up your pan with garlic olive oil (or regular olive oil) & add your burger patty to the pan to cook (tip: smash down your patty to make it thinner, especially if you are using the Beyond Meat patty)
  3. Once the burger patty is done, place it to the side, & now grill your pineapple in the same pan
  4. Slice up your red onions & add them in with the pineapple to grill
  5. Monitor the onions and pineapple until the are done grilling (flip them over a couple of times)
  6. On a piece of sourdough bread, place the burger patty, grilled pineapple slice, cheddar cheese & onion on top
  7. Once you have layered your ingredients, place the burger in the oven for about 2 to 3 minutes to melt the cheese, along with the other piece of bread to toast
  8. Once toasted, add your teriyaki sauce on (as much as you prefer) & then place your lettuce on the burger as well
  9. Add on your top piece of bread & cut the burger in half. Ready to serve!
